Week 1: The Blood of the Covenant
Key Scripture: Matthew 26:26-28
Day 1: The Covenant of Blood
📖 Read: Exodus 24:3-8
💡 Deeper Teaching: In Exodus, Moses sprinkled the people with the blood of a sacrifice, sealing their commitment to the Old Covenant. This foreshadowed Christ’s blood, which would seal the New Covenant—not through animal sacrifices, but through His perfect and final sacrifice on the cross (Hebrews 9:12-15).
❓ Reflection Question: What does it mean for you personally that Jesus’ blood established a new covenant?
🙏 Prayer: Lord, help me understand the depth of Your covenant and what it means for my life.
Day 2: A Lamb for Our Redemption
📖 Read: John 1:29
💡 Deeper Teaching: When John the Baptist saw Jesus, he called Him the “Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.” In the Old Testament, lambs were sacrificed for atonement (Leviticus 4:35). Jesus, as the final Passover Lamb (1 Corinthians 5:7), bore our sins so we could be freed from sin’s penalty.
❓ Reflection Question: How does recognizing Jesus as the Lamb of God deepen your appreciation of salvation?
🙏 Prayer: Jesus, thank You for being my perfect sacrifice. Help me live in the freedom You provide.
Day 3: The Blood That Covers Sin
📖 Read: Leviticus 17:11
💡 Deeper Teaching: Blood was central to atonement in the Old Testament because “the life of the flesh is in the blood.” Sacrifices pointed ahead to Christ, whose blood was poured out once for all (Hebrews 9:22-28). His blood doesn’t just cover sin—it removes it completely (Psalm 103:12).
❓ Reflection Question: In what areas of your life do you need to fully trust that Jesus’ blood has cleansed you?
🙏 Prayer: Father, cleanse me by the blood of Christ and draw me closer to You.
Day 4: The Blood That Speaks a Better Word
📖 Read: Hebrews 12:24
💡 Deeper Teaching: Abel’s blood cried out for justice after Cain killed him (Genesis 4:10), but Jesus’ blood speaks of forgiveness. While Abel’s blood revealed guilt, Jesus’ blood removes guilt and brings us into God’s family (Romans 5:9).
❓ Reflection Question: Do you struggle more with guilt or grace? How does Jesus’ blood speak to that struggle?
🙏 Prayer: Jesus, let my life reflect the mercy You have shown me.
Day 5: Bought with a Price
📖 Read: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
💡 Deeper Teaching: We often think of freedom as belonging to ourselves, but the Bible teaches that we belong to God because we were bought at a price—the blood of Christ. Our response is to glorify God with our bodies and live as His redeemed people.
❓ Reflection Question: How does knowing you were bought with Christ’s blood change the way you live daily?
🙏 Prayer: Lord, help me live as one who belongs fully to You.
Day 6: The Blood That Seals the New Covenant
📖 Read: Luke 22:19-20
💡 Deeper Teaching: The night before His death, Jesus shared the cup with His disciples, declaring it the new covenant in His blood. Just as covenants were sealed with blood in the Old Testament, Jesus’ blood secures an eternal promise (Jeremiah 31:31-34). Through Him, we are reconciled to God forever.
❓ Reflection Question: What does it mean for you to participate in the new covenant through Christ?
🙏 Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for sealing Your love for me through Your sacrifice.
Day 7: The Power of the Blood
📖 Read: Revelation 12:11
💡 Deeper Teaching: Revelation tells us that believers overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. The blood of Jesus not only saves us but also empowers us to walk in victory over sin, Satan, and fear. Our testimony—how Christ has changed our lives—proclaims His victory.
❓ Reflection Question: How has Jesus’ blood given you victory in your life?
🙏 Prayer: Jesus, may I live daily in the power of Your blood.
Week 2: The Cup of Redemption
Key Scripture: Matthew 26:26-30
Day 1: The Cup of the Covenant
📖 Read: Matthew 26:27-28
💡 Deeper Teaching: At the Last Supper, Jesus took the cup and said, “This is My blood of the covenant.” This echoes Exodus 24:8, when Moses sprinkled the blood of the covenant on Israel. Jesus is revealing that He is establishing a new covenant—one where His blood brings complete and eternal redemption.
❓ Reflection Question: How does understanding the new covenant in Jesus’ blood change the way you view salvation?
🙏 Prayer: Lord, thank You for sealing the new covenant with Your own blood, giving me eternal life.
Day 2: The Passover and the Cup of Redemption
📖 Read: Exodus 6:6 & Luke 22:20
💡 Deeper Teaching: During the Passover meal, four cups of wine were used, symbolizing God’s four promises in Exodus 6:6-7. The third cup—the Cup of Redemption—was the one Jesus lifted, declaring it was His blood poured out for us. Just as the Passover lamb’s blood spared the Israelites, Jesus’ blood redeems us from sin and death.
❓ Reflection Question: What does it mean to you that Jesus is our Passover Lamb?
🙏 Prayer: Jesus, thank You for redeeming me with Your precious blood, freeing me from sin’s bondage.
Day 3: The Cost of Redemption
📖 Read: 1 Peter 1:18-19
💡 Deeper Teaching: Our salvation wasn’t bought with silver or gold but with the precious blood of Christ. Just as the Israelites were redeemed from Egypt by the blood of the lamb, we are redeemed from sin through Jesus’ perfect sacrifice.
❓ Reflection Question: How does knowing the price of your redemption impact the way you live?
🙏 Prayer: Lord, help me live in a way that honors the high price You paid for my redemption.
Day 4: Drinking the Cup of Wrath
📖 Read: Matthew 26:39 & Isaiah 51:17
💡 Deeper Teaching: In Gethsemane, Jesus prayed, “Let this cup pass from Me.” The cup He referred to wasn’t the Cup of Redemption but the Cup of God’s Wrath (Isaiah 51:17). Jesus took our punishment so we would never have to drink the cup of judgment.
❓ Reflection Question: How does Jesus taking the punishment you deserved deepen your love for Him?
🙏 Prayer: Jesus, thank You for taking the wrath I deserved so I could receive the cup of blessing.
Day 5: Redemption Leads to a New Song
📖 Read: Matthew 26:30 & Revelation 5:9*
💡 Deeper Teaching: After the Last Supper, Jesus and His disciples sang a hymn—likely Psalm 118, a song of deliverance. In Revelation, the redeemed sing a new song praising Jesus, the Lamb who was slain. Redemption always leads to worship.
❓ Reflection Question: How can you live a life of worship in response to your redemption?
🙏 Prayer: Lord, may my life be a song of praise for the redemption You have given me.
Day 6: Redemption Brings Us into God’s Presence
📖 Read: Hebrews 9:12-14*
💡 Deeper Teaching: Under the old covenant, the high priest entered the Most Holy Place with the blood of animals. But Jesus, our perfect High Priest, entered once for all with His own blood, securing eternal redemption and direct access to the Father.
❓ Reflection Question: How does knowing you have direct access to God through Jesus affect your relationship with Him?
🙏 Prayer: Thank You, Jesus, for making the way for me to enter into the presence of God.
Day 7: The Final Cup—The Marriage Supper of the Lamb
📖 Read: Matthew 26:29 & Revelation 19:9*
💡 Deeper Teaching: Jesus told His disciples, “I will not drink of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.” The fourth Passover cup—the Cup of Restoration—will be fulfilled at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, when we celebrate our full redemption with Christ in glory.
❓ Reflection Question: How does looking forward to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb give you hope in difficult times?
🙏 Prayer: Lord, I long for the day when I will celebrate Your redemption with You in eternity.
